The Companion Repository
The reference implementation, every printed command as a file, and the subject map that ties the book to the code. This edition pins release v1.0.0.
The reference implementation lives outside the printed book so it stays runnable and can be corrected without a new edition. Where the book and the repository disagree, the subject map in the repository is correct.
Every printed command, as a file
labs/ holds one folder per subject and one numbered file per printed block, so you can run a step instead of retyping it.
The book-to-repository contract
docs/subject-map.md maps every subject in the book to the paths it uses, what it starts from and ends with, how to validate it, and the gaps it does not close.
Work with a coding agent
docs/running-labs-with-a-coding-agent.md lets an agent drive the labs while destructive and cost-bearing steps still stop for you.
Versions and support
docs/supported-versions.md and docs/release-policy.mdstate the tested baseline, how releases are tagged, and how long an edition's line is supported.
